Effective date: August 26, 2026
CamelBak provides this Privacy Policy for people in the United States who browse or buy hydration bottles, insulated drinkware, reservoirs, hydration packs, outdoor vests, cleaning supplies, and replacement components through our online store. The notice describes the information involved in shopping and support, the reasons we use it, and the controls available to you.
Data categories we may collect
The information associated with a visit or transaction may include your name, email, telephone number, shipping and billing address, account credentials, customer-service messages, products considered or purchased, cart contents, order, exchange and refund history, and limited transaction status received from payment processors. Technical and internet information can include IP address, browser and device attributes, cookie or advertising identifiers, approximate location derived from IP, referral source, viewed pages, searches, clicks, cart behavior, and campaign or conversion activity. We may infer product or hydration interests from those interactions.
How the information reaches us
We receive information when you provide it during account creation, checkout, a return request, or customer communication. Other information is collected automatically by the storefront, browser, device, cookies, pixels, and similar technologies. Shopify, payment providers, carriers, analytics companies, fraud-prevention services, and advertising partners may also furnish information needed to operate the store or complete a request.
Why we use personal information
Uses include presenting and improving the storefront; authenticating accounts; authorizing payment; packing, delivering, and tracking orders; managing cancellations, exchanges, returns, and refunds; sending transaction notices; answering product, service, or privacy questions; detecting fraud and securing systems; maintaining financial, tax, and compliance records; understanding product demand; personalizing content; conducting and evaluating advertising; enforcing agreements; and satisfying applicable legal obligations.
Cookies and related technologies
Cookies, pixels, tags, and comparable tools help maintain carts and sessions, remember settings, support account and payment security, measure traffic, diagnose performance, and enable advertising. You can use browser controls to remove or block many cookies and use any privacy controls presented on the storefront. Disabling technology necessary for checkout or a service you request can prevent that function from working correctly.
Google Ads, remarketing, and conversion measurement
We may use Google Ads features for remarketing and conversion tracking. Google and participating advertising partners may process cookie or device identifiers, browser and IP information, page activity, and purchase or conversion events to attribute campaigns, measure performance, or show ads related to earlier visits. Choices include Google Ads Settings, browser controls, available storefront cookie controls, and the Do Not Sell or Share process described below.
Parties that may receive information
Information may be disclosed as reasonably necessary to Shopify and its commerce infrastructure; payment processors; delivery carriers; fulfillment, communications, and customer-service providers; cloud hosting, security, fraud-prevention, analytics, and advertising companies; and legal, accounting, or other professional advisers. Information can also be disclosed in connection with a merger, financing, sale, or reorganization, or when reasonably needed for a valid legal demand, policy enforcement, fraud prevention, safety, or protection of legal rights.
Retention approach
We retain different records for periods reasonably tied to their purpose. Order and tax records may remain for statutory and accounting periods, support files for resolving issues, and security logs for preventing fraud. The nature and sensitivity of the record, our relationship with you, possible disputes, and applicable law inform the schedule. Information is deleted or deidentified when continued retention is no longer reasonably necessary.
Security practices
Administrative, organizational, and technical measures are designed to protect information in light of its nature and use. No internet transmission, network, or storage method is completely secure, so the store does not promise absolute or one-hundred-percent security.
California rights under the CCPA and CPRA
Subject to legal scope and exceptions, California consumers may ask to know the categories and specific pieces of personal information collected, the sources, business purposes, and recipients; request access, correction, deletion, or portability; opt out of selling or sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising; and limit certain uses of sensitive personal information where applicable. We do not unlawfully discriminate because a consumer exercises a privacy right. Reasonable identity verification, or proof of an authorized agent’s authority, may be required.
Do Not Sell or Share choices
Certain advertising disclosures can qualify as selling or sharing under California law even when no money is exchanged. Use the “Your Privacy Choices” link available on the storefront, or email Support@CamelBek.shop with the subject “Do Not Sell or Share” and enough account or browser information to implement the request. We also process qualifying browser-based opt-out preference signals where applicable law requires it.
Privacy rights in other U.S. states
Residents of other U.S. states may have rights under applicable law to access, correct, delete, or obtain a portable copy of information; opt out of sale, targeted advertising, or certain profiling; and appeal a denied request. Submit a request through the email or telephone below. We may verify identity and follow the response and appeal process required by the governing law.
Children’s privacy
This online store is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly seek their personal information. A parent or guardian who believes a child supplied information should contact us so we can review the matter and take appropriate action.
Updates to this notice
Business practices, services, and privacy requirements can change. We may revise this policy prospectively by publishing the updated version here with a new effective date.
